Welcome to my travel page. Here you will find information about traveling. Michigan is not my favorite place to live, I plan on moving to Florida in the next couple of years. I was going to move to Florida this winter but due to the many hurricanes that have crossed Florida my plans have been delayed. For now Michigan is not so bad. I am not crazy about the winters here. If you are looking for outdoor fun Michigan is a great place. If you are a city person Michigan has plenty of city life for you.
Some of my favorite cities in Michigan are Grand Haven, Grand Rapids, Holland, Manistee, Mackinaw City and Traverse City. Traverse city is great because it offers all the city conveniences of the city while being within 10 minutes of the great outdoors. Manistee is a wonderful city. It is right on shores of Lake Michigan and Manistee Lake is on the east side of the city. Grand Haven is known as "Coast Guard City USA." It's location on Lake Michigan makes Grand Haven an excellent port for shipping traffic in Lake Michigan. Holland is the Dutch capital of Michigan. Here you will find buildings with Dutch architecture all around. Don't forget to visit the Tulip Festival in April. Grand Rapids is Michigan's second largest city that has something for everyone to do. It is the home of former President Gerald Ford. Mackinaw City is another favorite city of mine because of the "Mighty Mac" bridge. This bridge is a site to see especially at night.
